Eighty Days Yellow (Eighty Days #1)
Caught in a frustrating relationship with a man who can't accept her for who she is, passionate, flame-haired violinist Summer finds release in her music. She spends her afternoons busking on the underground, lost in the works of Vivaldi or Mendelssohn. When her violin is damaged beyond repair, Summer receives a surprising proposition from Dominik, a university professor with powerful desires, who has been captivated by Summer ever since he heard her perform. Dominik will replace her priceless violin, but only if she agrees to play for him in a private concert.
Unable to deny the chemistry between them, Dominik and Summer embark on an intense affair full of daring twists and turns, as unpredictable as it is thrilling. For Summer it is a chance to finally embrace her long-denied dark side, but she'll soon learn that where there's pleasure must come pain. And can a relationship born of such all-consuming passion, ever really survive?
Exhilarating, seductive and tantalisingly bold, EIGHTY DAYS is a love story that will leave you breathless for more.
NO!! I was extremely disappointed in this book. It's violent and emotionless. In Fifty people complained about the sex but that was nothing compared to a woman (Summer) who 'prides' herself on being independent and strong yet she allows herself to become someone else's slave. She is manipulated by her friends. Then dragged around and treated ill by the men in this story. And that would have been forgivable... IF she grew as a character which she did not. I have never wanted to sell or throw a
This should not even be in the same book shelf as 50 shades of Grey. For anyone who wants a closer book to 50 read Bared to You or Naked....this book - to me - was a modern day Story of O and a bad knock off at that. The only thing that propelled me through this book was the fact I wanted to see what happened between Summer and Dominik, and they didn't even have a true romance per se. If they had no made references to it being in 2012, I seriously would have thought this story was decades old.
The story went south for me when the Domme came into the picture. If you want a detailed explanation of why I made this book a DNF at 63%, please check out Her Majesty's review.Sorry I didn't listen to you! Happy now? :P
I'd give this .5 of a star if I could. What a dreadful, dreadful story. How this is supposed to appeal to fans of Fifty I'll never know. The reason I loved Fifty was because of the romance that made up 95% of the story. Yes there was a lot of sex but that's what couples do when they meet and fall in love. This, on the other hand is abuse. Dominick watches Summer have sex with another man with cold detachment. Something Christian would never do. Fifty shades was accused of giving people the wrong
NO. THIS WILL STOP RIGHT NOW. BECAUSE I SAID SO.
Readers are introduced to Summer as she is lying naked on the floor of her boyfriends home blaring Vivaldi on the stereo. Having found her in the provocative position her boyfriend is not too happy, to say the least. Hes an uptight man who has no patience for Summer and her sometimes unconventional behavior. Ugh. Luckily, he didnt last for long. Girl should not be having to ensure her own pleasure during sex. Ever. A newly single Summer -- not that what she had before could really have been

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what I thought of this book; I just know that I didn't find it enthralling, or enjoyable, or anything at all like the Fifty Shades of Grey it's apparently similar to. 1.5 stars, I'd rate it.Eighty Days Yellow is almost the antithesis of the romance found in similar works like 50 Shades or Bared to You. It's a study in personal exploration, and intense chemistry between two people, but there's a startling lack of any romantic or even affable chemistry between theNO!!
