Narration Toward Books Stone Soup
This book is about two pigs who are traveling through a town and are very hungry. They ask all around the town for some food but the whole town has put up their food and they are unwilling to share with the travelers. So the two pigs make a magical soup called stone soup which most of the town eventually contributes to. I choose this book because it has a very good lesson behind it and it's something that children can learn from. It teaches children to be kind to one another and to help those in need. The intended audience for this story would be second grade.Specify Books During Stone Soup

This was my favorite book as a child, and I still have to copy that I was given when I was young. I loved the illustrations and the telling of the story more so than other versions. This retelling is more simplistic and friendly with the illustrations of the traveling Max and Molly in their quest to make their 'secret recipe'. I have used this story in the classroom to emphasize the importance of sharing and caring for one and another. I have also utalized this book to introduce writing promptsThis book is about two pigs who are traveling through a town and are very hungry. We all need to share!
This book could be considered a predictable book, which would be great in the classroom. It has a great story-line. The way it expresses kindness and how kindness goes a long way is a great way to show children how to treat and respect others. It expresses common morals people should have and it could help teach children how to share.
Cute story! Good message of everyone pitching in and sharing.
This is my favorite retelling of Stone Soup. I love the pictures. Full review on my blog. http://buildinglifelongreaders.blogsp...
In elementary school I remember our teacher reading this book to us and having us create our own soup. It's a good story with a good message.
