Representaion In Pursuance Of Books Der langsame Walzer der Schildkröten (Joséphine #2)

I have wanted to read this book ever since I found out it existed--- this is the second in a trilogy, the first being "The Yellow Eyes of the Crocodile". I used my connections from working at a university to get a copy--- all the way from my old town (and library) in Arlington, Virginia. Weird. I ended up having to renew it 3 times--- mainly because the book is heavy and bulky...and not conducive to carrying about the day and reading between free time. Silly reasoning, but the truth. I enjoyedI enjoyed the first book in the Joséphine Cortès series, The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles, for its quirkiness, its very human characters, and its French sensibilities. I wasnt as charmed the second time around.Jo, who has doormat tendencies, still hasnt snapped out of that, despite her great success as a best-selling author and being pursued by two handsome men. It gets to be frustrating that every time she talks sense into herself and gets some self-confidence, its smashed immediately. I lost
I liked the first one way better. The funny thing is, in the first in the series, nothing really happens. It's like the author realized that and went overboard in the other direction. Here's a conspiracy, and a serial killer, and a mystery, and a romance, and a curse, and a...it was all over the place. The ONLY think I liked was Phillipe, but even he was written as a tad more aggressive than before. The translation isn't as good, the way people are described is very shallow, the inner monologues

I finally got my fix on this much anticipated English translated sequel to The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles. It's the continuation of Josephine Cortes' saga. Think it's just a French rom-com? Think again! There was murder, mystery, misery, witchcraft, jealousy, new loves, old loves and some looney characters. It went in a bit of a darker turner than the first book, but still enjoyed devouring it. Now book 3.... please be released soon so I can get my closure or I may just need to brush up on my
I loved the second book of Katherine Pancol. We follow the characters introduced before: Joséphine, Hortense, Chloé, iris, Shirley and Gary. New characters are introduced and as usual secrets are slowly revealed. I have now read a number of books by his author and enjoy them. I listen to them in French using AUDIBLE.fr. There are many more. Trois baisers , 3 volumes in the series Muchachas . To my surprise, the above characters reappear, albeit tangentially. Happy reading to the readers
The Slow Waltz Of Turtles (Josephine #2) by Katherine Pancol was a quirky French novel. I think some of the story got lost in translation. The first two parts of the novel were very slow, but the last part was exciting and intriguing. I haven't read #1 in the Josephine series but I'd like to read the conclusion to this story. I won this book through Goodreads Giveaways.
The Slow Waltz of Turtles is the second novel in the Joséphine series by French journalist and author, Katherine Pancol. It is translated from the original French by William Rodarmor. Some six months after Paris learned the truth about Joséphine Cortès novel, things are very different: she and Zoé live in a spacious apartment; Hortense is studying fashion in London; Iris is in a psychiatric clinic; Phillippe and Alexandre are living in London, as are Shirley and Gary; Marcel, Josiane and Junior
