Commentary Supposing Books End of I.

Three years ago, McSweeney’s published Stephen Dixon’s acclaimed I. Now, the two-time National Book Award nominee revisits that book’s intimate territory, tightening his unflinching focus even as he widens the scope. Dixon is still a master stylist, and the narrator’s
tense, breakneck reflections on loss in all contexts are imbued with remarkable urgency and warmth.

Criticism Appertaining To Books End of I.
I'd been wanting to read something of Dixon's, and picked this up at the library because the cover was pretty cool (art by Chris Ware, and a woodblock kind of cutout thing happening, which made it stand out on the shelf). Some parts were great, others a little blah, some of the chapters almost read like openings or sketches for longer pieces. To be fair, though, I haven't read this book's predecessor, which might very well put this one in a different context.

not as good as i. but as depressing like proust with worse memory

I. didn't finish it.

I received this book from McSweeneys. I feel that I should read the first book I.

If you've read I. and not this that is silly. Read it!

Hmmm, review to follow. Maybe. Dixon is interesting in his comic banality, but I'm not sure.
