Representaion During Books The Thornthwaite Inheritance (Thornthwaite #1)
Ovid and Lorelli Thornthwaite are the twins who inherit their family's vast property after their parents' gruesome death. As known by everyone, the history of the family mingles with cruelty, betrayal and murders. Probably because of the blood, the twins have been trying to kill each other for so long that neither twin can remember which act of attempted murder came first. Now on their 13th birthday, Ovid suddenly proposes that they should form a truce and stop trying to kill each-other for a while. Though doubtful at first, Lorelli accepts and the twins decide to create a new will which will confirm that neither of the twins will receive any property if another dies before the age of sixteen. Now that everything is set and the twins are on the same side, someone close to them strikes back. After waiting for the property for so long, he won't let it go that easily. Hence, starts the manifestation of the clever plot built against the twins and the twins must stay together and solve the mystery of their parents' death. The novel is just epic! It's probably written for young readers on mind, but it can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of age. The plot, the narrative, even the characters are portrayed in such a way that the novel seems like a complete package for anyone. What started as a mere hint of endless fights and funny adventures of the twins, becomes entirely something else. As the story unfolds, the readers will be able to go along the lines and try to figure out the main culprit. When I chose the book for reading, I definitely didn't have a mystery genre on mind but this novel delivered it cleverly. Overall, a fantastic book to look up to for a light but enjoyable reading.

I like your bookWas an absolute joy to read.
I mean, I suppose this is a children's book, but it's a really good children's book. I can't recommend it for all the ya readers out there, but it is very original and interesting. There were some plot twists I didn't even see coming (although I saw through the big one). Anyway, a good book, just best for a bit of a younger audience.4/5
Highly enjoyable. Very weird. Reminded me slightly of a series of unfortunate events. It's odd how there's only the one book though. I wished for more murder attempts.
Very fun and thrilling. It keeps you guessing, who is trying to kill who and why?? It was a bit agatha christie ending but thats good. Lots of twists and interesting characters!
A fun quick read. Agatha Christie meets the Addams family.
A bit dark, reminds me of Silas and the Winterbottoms. I liked Odin, he made the book worth while reading.
