Interpretation To Books Flesh Guitar

Into the Havoc Bar and Grill, an end-of-the-world watering hole on the outer fringes of the metropolis, walks the entertainment, Jenny Slade. She has the look down: beat-up leather jacket, motorcycle boots, cheekbones, and wild hair. But she’s no ordinary guitar heroine. Her guitar is like none her audience has ever seen, part deadly weapon, part creature from some alien lagoon. Is that hair? Are those nipples? Is it flesh? Where does Jenny Slade come from? Where does she go? Geoff Nicholson fans know that wherever that is, the ride will be like no other.

Crit Epithetical Books Flesh Guitar
An odd, surreal, fun read. Both fragmented and a whole. More like a string of stories than a novel, yet they connect and build a big picture that is fun and crazy. It's more the gleeful, excessive emotional ride that pulled me along.Definitely will look for more books by this author.

A novel for rockophiles that isnt shit! Hurrah! Nicholson writes about the guitar as a phallic object, then reclaims it as a tool for empowering experimental art among the women. (Kinda). This is a difficult novel to describe: it follows the career of Jenny, an avant-garde composer present in a series of parodic musical experiments (naked acupuncture stage shows, smashing eggs against fretboards, etc), until her final performance in a dive bar. She also finds herself talking to a teenage Frank

Eurocrap attempt to be surreal and thought provoking. The essoteric qualities of the guitar and a girl who is so "in tune" with her guitar that she goes back in time and talks to old blues men. She was with Kurt Cobain when he killed himself, Jimi Hendrex when he od'd...yeck!

nice cover. kind of a weird rocknroll novel. i think it would have been very affecting hot of the press, but now seems a little dated/ does have some good parts about music, making it and listening to it.

One of my favourite books about music, and the only novel about music I've read that I love.
