On many fronts, I found this book quite enjoyable. The characters are brought to live quite convincingly and the action is paced very well. The glimpse of the future which comes into play on the heroine's unexpected adventure is readily believable and frightening. I really didn't know what to expect when I started reading this book and I wanted to like it but it was just so all over the place. First you're in the 1600's then you're in 1990's then your in 2165's what? Then no matter the time you have a companion/helper from the Caribbean who is supposed to be a blood sister because you share a common ancestor and then there is a crystal that gets stolen. I so wanted to like this book I really did but it was just no cohesiveness throughout that never mind
