Description In Favor Of Books That Perfect Someone (Malory-Anderson Families #10)

Nine years ago, Richard Allen fled England and his controlling father. Determined to live his own life, he took to the sea and settled in the Caribbean, joining a band of treasure-hunting pirates and adopting the persona of a carefree, seductive Frenchman named Jean Paul to guard the secrets of his past. When he slips back into England to carry out an urgent task, Richard becomes infatuated with a married woman, Georgina Malory. But his reckless attempt to woo Georgina at a masked ball turns out to be the worst mistake of his life because it brings him face to face with another beautiful woman.

Thrilled that her solicitors have finally come up with a way to free her from her betrothal contract to the Earl of Manford’s son who abandoned her years ago, heiress Julia Miller is ready for the marriage mart and hopes to find that perfect someone at her friend Georgina’s ball. Charmed by a masked Frenchman who gives her her first kiss, she can’t help but pursue this mysterious man—until she makes a shocking discovery. Now, to avoid falling into a ruthless nobleman’s trap, Julia must enter a risky, intimate charade with a man she never believed she could love.

Criticize Based On Books That Perfect Someone (Malory-Anderson Families #10)
For my summer reading challenge at my local library I had to choose a book to reread. I decided to choose one I haven't read in years and as we all know, rereading favorite books is like meeting up with old friends. A little surprising, a little different than we remember but still wonderful! Johanna Lindsey has always been one of my favorite authors! In her Malory-Anderson Family books we have a group of people that never fail to delight. Big, strong rogues that meet equally strong women and

The blurb for this book here at GR touts it as a Malory novel and lists Georgina Malory as one of the main protagonists. Neither point is true so if you are jonesing for a new Malory installment, you will have to look to a future book. The H/h are, however, guilty by association as the hero, Richard, is friends with Gabrielle (Captive of my Desires) and her husband Drew (Georgina's brother), while the heroine, Julia, is merely a casual acquaintance of the Malory clan in general. James Malory

Despite the fact that neither of the hero or heroine has the name Malory or Anderson in it, I have to admit, among all Malory-Anderson series that Johanna Lindsey wrote, this one is my favorite. It was kinda unpredictable, not in a good way, but Johanna Lindsey wrapped it up very nicely with a nice touch of humor. I read this 2 years ago, yet, I still find myself reaching for this book in my spare time.

Okay I loved this book, however when author talked about James's son Jermey and his wife I felt lost. Was I missing a book? Most of the characters were talked about which was nice. Overall this was a good read

Meh. Maybe Ive read too many books in a row from this series but I find this one the worst. Its basically based on the same hate-to-love/enemies-to-lovers pattern but its so unrealistic, from the heroines fathers full recovery to the MCs mutual hatred suddenly dissipating, that I didnt enjoy it as much. Richard was very unlikable from the beginning, so much so I very nearly stopped reading. I liked him in the previous book I read - in fact thats why I picked this book as my next read, because I

For me, Johanna Lindsey seems to have an uneven writing style. Most of her books I either start off hating and then love by the end, or I start off loving them and hate them by the end. A few I hated all the way through but so far I haven't found a single one that I loved from start to finish. That Perfect Someone falls into the "hated it to start, but loved it by the end" category. Our two main characters are so obnoxious in the beginning, what with their snotty bickering and Richard's
