This was a very emotional story of 4 friends and how they deal with upheaval in their lives. Three of the friends face trade by and lean on each other to help them deal with what is happening. Christy and Marks story take center and they realize as they go through a tough time in their marriage thatwhat they endured made them stronger and that they were meant to go through this tough time to enjoy the outcomes. Drew and Erics tough time is different and doesnt end as positive, but feel it willI went into this book nervous I wouldn't be able to finish since I had a journey similar to Christy's. Books like can sometimes amplify your worst fears because the fiction is so close to reality. Infertility can be such a delicate subject but this book treated it with sensitivity, dignity, and respect.I love books about the life after the traditional HEA. This story showed that marriage can be hard work that comes with ups and downs and it requires a strong commitment to keep it going. Even
He admitted he was attracted to the OW, then the OW thought he was flirting with her and just hit on her. Yet he kept spending time with the OW, all while feeling guilty and still neglecting his wife because reasons. Was there cheating? Totally enjoyed this. It was a heart wrenching, emotional, very real read that had me shed a few tears.I personally haven't been through the IVF process as I was fortunate enough to be blessed with high fertility but I have friends that have and its a hard road on a couple. I have been divorced though and could really relate to the struggle Christy and Mark were going through personally.A wonderful addition to the series.

Book 2 belongs to Christy and Mark. Both are complex , imperfect and facing situations some of us deal with on a daily basis. Mark and
This book will suck you in and stay with you, long after you read the last page. Mark and Kristy are happily married or are they? They have tried and tried to have a baby. High school sweethearts Christy and Mark Thomas had what appeared the perfect marriage. However, these two were dealing with way too much: fertility problems, lack of communication, pain, fear, disappointment, and raw emotion all taking a toll on their marriage. When We Were Us by Elena Aitken, book two in her Timber Creek series is an emotional tale of a married couple who allowed themselves to be torn apart and what they went through in order to get back to each other. This story definitely
