Commentary Toward Books Beethoven's Immortal

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

The title of this book really appealed to me as I have a love of pretty much all things musical and after reading the book I would suggest that the author does too. From classical to metal with an obvious love of the 80′s hair metal era this book has musical references galore which for me only added to my enjoyment of the story.

We follow Stephanie as she time travels back in time to 18th Century Vienna where she not only meets, but becomes the inspiration to perhaps the greatest classical composer that ever lived.

One of my favorite things about this book is that the author has taken an historical factual event and created a whole new take on it, and answered some of the questions that really are out there. His research is impeccable and the story flows with an ease that I appreciated allowing you to quickly become invested in the characters.

The “rules” of time travel are explored but not from the normal science fiction angle (although I hasten to add that as a science fiction fan the logic in here was indisputable).

Sadly the story was a little predictable but there was no other way for it to end without history being changed. It reminded me very much of a Hallmark Movie “Love Letter” which broke my heart but in the best possible way. Don’t let this put you off though. Anyone with a love of music or even just a love story across time and space will enjoy this well written tale.
