Rendition Supposing Books One Evening in Paris

Alain Bonnard, the owner of a small art cinema in Paris, is a dyed-in-the-wool nostalgic. In his Cinéma Paradis there are no buckets of popcorn, no XXL coca-colas, no Hollywood blockbusters. Not a good business plan if you want to survive, but Alain holds firm to his principles of quality. He wants to show films that create dreams, and he likes most of the people that come to his cinema. Particularly the enchanting, shy woman in the red coat who turns up every Wednesday in row 17. What could her story be? One evening, Alain plucks up courage and invites the unknown beauty to dinner. The most tender of love stories is just getting under way when something incredible happens: The Cinéma Paradis is going to be the location of Allan Woods' new film Tender Memories of Paris. Solène Avril, the famous American director's favourite actress, has known the cinema since childhood and has got it into her head that she wants the film to be shot there. Alain is totally overwhelmed when he meets her in person. Suddenly, the little cinema and its owner are the focus of public attention, and the red-plush seats are sold out every evening.
But the mystery woman Alain has just fallen in love with seems suddenly to have vanished. Is this just coincidence? Alain sets off in search of her and becomes part of a story more delightful than anything the cinema has to offer.

Notice About Books One Evening in Paris
This novel is a quick-paced story about the pursuit of love and to what ends a believer in love would go to find that special person.

Not usually a fan on romances, but this has several twists and turns. Solene Avril returns to Paris to show her director a cinema she loved as a child. It is the perfect setting for his new film. Alain Bonnard is the current owner who is intrigued by the lady in the red coat who always comes for the late night sowing on Wednesday when he offers viewings of old romantic films. He finally plucks up the courage to ask for a date. After the date he is confused and upset that he cannot find her and,

One Evening in Paris is like a Woody Allen film in novel form. Sweet, quirky, utterly delightful. I loved all the plot twists and turns and the fact that the whole story wasnt revealed until the very end. Reading One Evening in Paris reminded me of my college days when I used to belong to the International Film Society. My friends and I would go watch grainy foreign films in a little theater and think that we were oh so sophisticated and mature. Oh, those were the days!Sissy: I guess my friends

Absolutely beautiful! The story of Alain, searching for the girl in the red coat is equal parts mystery and love story that will have you glued to every single word on every single page. I read this lovely book in one sitting, as it was so captivating that I couldn't put it down!Thank you to the publisher and to Goodreads First Reads for the advanced copy, of what is my new favourite book.

This review was first published at M's Bookshelf - http://mssbookshelf.blogspot.beThis is such a wonderful novel. The Secret Paris Cinema Club is a lovely, timeless romance. It reads and feels like an old movie and I loved every page of it. Nicolas Barreau's writing is simply amazing. He takes you to Paris on a wonderful journey along with his main character Alain; an old soul, a dreamer, a romantic.Everything about this novel is brilliant. The cinema theme, the characters, the writing, the

Light as a French soufflé and as romantic as Paris by night this book was the perfect antidote after reading 700+ pages of World War Two history. It's both a charming romance, replete with the usual confusions, mistaken meanings and missed opportunities typical of the genre. It's also a valentine to the movies and their own special magic. Much of the ancillary action to the romance takes place in the Cinéma Paradis, or on the set of a movie in progress, Tender Thoughts of Paris, or in

4.5*Where do I start? I liked this book, the atmosphere was amazing, I mean I seriously loved the vibes it gave me. It reminded me of Breakfast at Tiffany's quite a lot and then Audrey Hepburn was mentioned, Tiffany's was mentioned, and just when I thought of it again, Holly Golightly was mentioned. I loved this environment and I didn't think I would, though, to me it was hard to imagine this took place in the 21st century. Every time smartphones or the internet was mentioned I had to remind
