Narration In Pursuance Of Books Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, Vol. 17 (Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE #17)

Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE: Volume 17 is still taking place on the world of Shifting Sands. I realize that things are changing for our heroes; with Fai missing an eye, the real Syaoran showing up, and Fai turning into a vampire, but I miss the adventure of them jumping from world to world looking for Sakura's memory feathers. I am so ready for them to jump to a different world that it is driving me crazy. I think we are finally getting close and it should happen in the next book and I am keeping my fingers crossed. But, this whole vampire storyline is not as interesting as the previous storylines.

As for this story, it is well-written, just not very exciting. The artwork, as usual, is awesome and every page is a joy to absorb. But I want to get back to the type of stories that made Tsubasa my favorite manga series.

So, now it looks like the guys will not only be chasing after Sukura's feather, they will also be looking for Fai's missing eyes. That sure is a lot of things to look for on multiple worlds. Okay, do I love this series? Yes. Have they gotten a little off-track? Yes. Can Clamp get it back on-track? Yes, I am sure of it.

Overall, Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE: Volume 17 is not the best of the books in this series, but the storyline is changing, so I understand . . . I'm just not happy with it right now. I sure hope that Mokona transports everyone to a new world in Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE: Volume 18. We need more adventuring!

I rated this book an 8 out of 10.

I seriously need to read more of Clamp's previous series. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of details...other than that the series is really becoming darker and much more epic at this point.

Love the art and writing style of Clamp. Must read for manga and fantasy lovers.

Sakura gets to do things this volume again! For such quick reads, some of these volumes can be slow pace wise. Very little actually moves forward here, but the action scenes are great and the characters do become a bit clearer. Really enjoying this right now.

This is a much darker part of the saga and some characters are longing for things I think won't be good for them! =)

I guess one could say this volume and the one before it represents the 'end of the beginning', as the story from here changes focus from being just a 'dimension of the week' story to one with a more personal focus for everyone involved. Choices are also made that will have far flung ramifications for everyone, as things will no longer be the same.

So . . . Fai's a vampire now. At least for a little while. (If a vampire ever had an actual excuse to sparkle . . .)In other news, Sakura wakes up while peeps are arguing about who's going to do the dangerous mission that Yuko assigns as an indirect price for saving Fai, and she's like, "Oh, excuse me, it seems that everyone but me has been totally badass for the last sixteen volumes, Y'ALL BETTER MOVE OVER." *Cue "Eye of the Tiger" for all of her scenes in this volume*I'm only giving this three

AMAZING! I LOVE THIS BOOK! THANKS CLAMP!
