Review of The Budget CookbookI think this book is good for someone who enjoys cooking but maybe not so much for someone like me who rarely likes to cook.I like to fix something that tastes good and is very quick and easy to prepare. This cookbook is complicated though.

Exactly what it calls itselfLow cost recipes. Perfect for college students or young families. Many of the tips were obvious, but I liked some of the recipes. Lots of emphasis on quinoa, rice, and pasta.

I wouldn't exactly describe this book as containing cheap eats. There are some tips for economizing, i.e., what to buy in bulk, etc. the recipes contain readily sourced ingredients. the directions are straightforward and most are doable, easy in fact even for novices. None of the recipes excited me. As far as restaurant quality, I guess it depends on what restaurants you go to. Can't say I am motivated to try anything in this book.
