Description Supposing Books As Profecias de Nostradamus (Antichrist Trilogy #1)

Weigh Up Epithetical Books As Profecias de Nostradamus (Antichrist Trilogy #1)
I was expecting something along the lines of da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, but found this novel to be more along the lines of The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury. A hidden "treasure" that can only be found by correctly deciphering the clues, while being chased by an assassin and the police gives our heroes a tall order to fill. Intermixed with the story is a telling of the lives of gypsies and their customs and belief system. I loved it.

As I started to read The Nostradamus Prophecies, I anticipated a DaVinci Code like thriller- full of twists and historic details. The Nostradamus Prophecies certainly contained those, yet quite a bit more. This is a very witty book! There were parts that had me laughing outloud. The plot is about an author who is seeking the lost 52 Quatrains of Nostradamus and a centuries' old secret society seeking them too. The real meat of the novel is the facinating and apparently accurate portayals of the

A killer is on the loose, a killer who thinks he is doing God's biding. He wants to find the missing Nostradamus prophecies and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. Pitted against him is a French-American named Sabir who is an intellectual and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Add to this a Gypsy family and you have no idea where things will go.

This book has similarities to some of Dan Brown's books and in certain cases it seemed all too familiar. While interesting, I found myself counting the pages left so I could move on. In books of this type, even though fiction, I generally learn some historical information along the way. That wasn't much the case in this book, but Nostradamus' perspective on why he was publishing these insights into the future was refreshing.

The writing was way too childish for me. The behaviour and language of the characters annoyed me so much I gave up
